This product helps scan a remote computer and find all the browser help objects that are loaded into it.
Browser helper objects help do additional things in browser context. These are loaded up when the browser in started. These objects operate in the same memory space and can perform actions on available Windows and modules. You could, for example, have a helper object install hooks into messages and actions so that they could be monitored. Not all browser helpers are helpful. Good helpers include such examples as a PDF reader or the Google toolbar helper object. However, like viruses and other malware, there can be a malicious helper objects that has been installed into your computer by some malware. These malicious helpers can create problems for you. Thus, it is essential for the network administrator to keep a watch on such modules getting installed on any of the machines in your network.
BhoScanner will let you scan for and find out all the helper objects installed in a given machine. You’ll then be able to identify all the trouble makers and remove them to keep your environment safe. The report you get is color coded. Green ones are safe, red for problematic ones and yellow for an undetermined variety. As the information is gathered from the registry of the computer being scanned, you need to have authorization for accessing the machine. IP address, user id, password needs to be specified. It is possible to use current credentials if they provide access to the registry or use a null session. The interface is absolutely simple, and you could assign the scanning task to the newest IT guy to get the job done. This is a good tool.
